Home CWRBS Overview Downloads Tools Support IBackup Login

You can now enable Email dropping feature at 'My IBackup' section of your account, and drop files into your IBackup account by simply emailing them to 'username'@ibackup.com. The email files will be stored in 'IncomingMail' folder in your account. For example, if your IBackup username is 'john', you would email to john@ibackup.com.

Please note this feature can be turned on and off at the 'My IBackup' section of your account. By default, this feature is turned OFF for security reasons. You will need to enable this at the 'My IBackup' section after succesful login through the browser of your account.

Also, you have options to store the attachments and the body of the message, or just the attachments. This added functionality can serve as a tool to store your important emails in your IBackup account.

This feature implementation is a direct result of feedback from our users who have been demanding this feature as a replacement to the space limited email systems such as hotmail.com and make full use of their IBackup storage.

Also, please note that the attachments and messages stored this way in IBackup accounts are available for sharing through the email based link system of IBackup. In other words, the dropped files can be further emailed to anyone using the 'sharing' feature of IBackup.

Note: For certain email clients such as Netscape Messenger, you will need to set the 'forward messages as 'Inline' for the attachments' to be dropped correctly into the IBackup accounts. Also, there is a limit on the total size of email including the attachments, per email . The limit is set at 5MB. However, there is no limit on the number of email droppings. The total size of all the droppings is limited only by the size of your IBackup account.
